Overall the album was actually good on a first listen. I don't know if it was me but the first couple of tracks (1, 3, and 4) just sounded lazy as fukk, the album would have been better without them, imo. Not a Drake stan but I try to listen to every new album that releases, I would be lying if I said I didn't want this album to be like NWTS but it is a great album in its own lane.

Let's be honest here. The best moments of Views didn't even come from Drake.

1. Whoever sang the summer over interlude killed that shyt. Best song on the album by lightyears.

2. Future, Cardo, and Southside came through on grammys with the beat change and added bass to take over and rule that shyt.

3. The Migos, 21 savage, Kodak, and Famous Dex style he used on Still Here and Hype.

Yeah, that Interlude is fire......I need a full version......Like Akademik is saying, this doesn't really connect with me, of course in the obvious, friends, relationships, whatever, but thats generic and vague, everyone can relate....but, this is nothing new, his music never really connects with me, because we aren't the same lol and yeah this has no nuances or insight into him as a person, that speak to me through his experiences, which is what the best music does..... it's very well crafted production with pop music esque lyrics....I love some of these beats though. I want someone with more to say over them. I think the OVO R&B label acts have more more interesting music.
