Beauty behind the madness was dope for what it was tho. He went commercial with it and his album was solid

Off a few listens now the top songs for me are 9, Weston Road Flows, Still Here, Controlla, everything else pretty forgettable

Listening to Weston Road Flows....I just don't see whats so great about 40 as a producer. He didn't do anything creative with that Mary J sample. Added the same drum pattern as the original, slapped a muffled low pass filter on it and thats it lol. He picks good samples, but I feel like your average beatmaker can do a better job of flipping that than he did.
