9 years Still maintain it’s his worst album but contains some of his best non-rap songs (One Dance, Controlla). I have a theory that he was mad he got exposed for having ghostwriters and wanted to prove himself by writing all the rap songs, and it’s no coincidence the quality of writing dropped as a result

Worst album?

I ran this back recently. It's a great album. Bit more singing than I like and I was upset at the time, because the narrative was "this is gonna be a classic". It's not a classic but removing the dusty backpack rippity rappity glasses, it's a great music album.

It’s a decent album but a drop from the run he was on prior. I feel like More Life was a much better execution of what he tried on Views

5 years later since this post, congrats to drake for dropping CLB, honestly nevermind and for all the dogs which were somehow all worse than this trash known as views .

i will say that views does have 5-6 tracks that i still play til this day (feel no ways, views title track, controlla popcaan version, one dance, fire & desire & weston road flows). everything else was hot garbage or aged terribly.

I don’t like this record still. Time away from the moment makes you look at it with different eyes, but this album didn’t capture the feeling we thought he would have. I was expecting more of a celebratory in your face record like the first part of More Life was. This seemed very whiney, low energy, the beginning of the bars being clever but also corny which he avoided for a while. Dont get the new love it has gotten the las t three years
