Over time, the rapper/singer lane has been blurred a bunch. Tyrese released Alter Ego, Lauryn Hill had the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and there have been a few others who do it on a handful of songs (Chris Brown, Trey Songs, etc.)

Over the last 1+ year, I've seen 3 cats do this pretty well. One has been in the game for over a decade (Phonte), the other for almost half that time (Drake) and then there's the newcomer (Mac Wild)

Who yall think runs that rapper/singer lane the best?

Phonte for me. As a part of +FE, he's pushed himself to experiment musically whilst maintaining a soulful sound. Plus, he's got that grown man swagger that oozes through on certain tracks like this
