Bad Bunny gonna have this dudes rapping in Spanish just to stay relevant lol.
I think it's the zeitgeist effect of something being "new". That album is a major step forward for Latin pop/reggaeton/world music wtv you want to call it. Olivia Rodrigo tapped into 90s teenage angst and had a crazy album run as well. Drake tried to do something "new" too, but I wouldn't call it a success in his case, more like treading water. People want the new shyt, especially young people

I mean...it's Drake but it still didn't feel eventful at all.

No real promo. Only one music video. No merchandise. No rollout. And he's planning a Young Money tour instead of touring off the album.

Even Dark Lane Demo Tapes and Scary Hours 2 felt more impactful and they weren't even albums lol.
All them hoes in that falling back vid bad as fukk.. all from Toronto too lol

Wheelchair Jimmy stans think this album was immune to the come and go era.
That's the difference
Only Future, Bad Bunny, and Harry Styles can talk cash shyt

"Argue all day about who's the best MC, Future, Bad Bunny or Harry Styles"

It's still selling well and didn't fall off the charts like people predicted.
Everything stays on the charts with streaming. Especially when there’s a machine behind you. This shyt has 0 traction. It’s not being quoted all over social media like most Drake projects.

I disagree. If no one is listening to your album you fall off the charts. If people are listening to your album, you stay on the charts. Durk, even before dropping the deluxe, has been living on the charts because people fukk with his album. Lil Baby dropped what, two years ago and is still on there. That longevity tells you people are still listening. In terms of new albums this year, Future and Kendrick have been selling well weekly which again tells you people are fukking with multiple tracks. If Drake's album wasn't being played it wouldn't be doing 40k weekly right now. Yea the charts suggest people are mainly fukking with like 3 tracks, maybe 4...but they're playing that shyt so much that he's doing great.

I'd argue the charts are the best indicator of whether something "came and went" or not. Coi Leray's album disappeared from the charts after a couple weeks for instance. No one was fukking with it. Kevin Gates dropped an album this month that is already out of the top 50 albums. Flip side...Certified Lover Boy is still on the charts. Good Kid Maad City is still on the charts (longest consecutive charting rap album of all time). Doja Cat's album is still on the charts, high. The only way that happens is if people are bumping the shyt out of an album.

I thought it came and went too, but it’s on every instagram post I scroll past. I never want to hear a song from it again because of that
