I remember seeing the cover to one of his early tapes, the one where he's wearing a black jacket and has a Nas-esque part in his haircut, back when Myspace was still going strong and being like 
"fukk this chump nikka from Degrassi", then the nikka came and took over the rap game.
Alotta nikkas hate to admit it, for lame reasons like "He's not real" or whatever even though by "real nikka" standards, the nikkas who say that aren't "real" either. But he's the best thing in rap right now.
For the record though, I still think he's kind of a cornball but his music speaks for itself.
His shyt gets play EVERYWHERE.
