He absolutely lost. Thats not debatable. Kendricks's chess game in this battle was a thing of absolute beauty. He was multiple steps ahead the entire time. What I have always said was that LYRICALLY this battle was close. Way closer than people are willing to admit. To me Family Matters is the best diss track of the battle with Euphoria a super close #2. I don't really get into the who brought up what thing. Rap battles always get personal. Eventually someone was always going to say something that makes the other push it further. Thats just how it goes. The fact that Kendrick had Meet the Grahams already recorded removes him from having some moral high ground. Drake went to hell and Kendrick was already sitting there waiting for him.

The big issue with this battle is it's hard to find people who judge it objectively. There's Drake stans, theres Kbots and theres people who just despise Drake. It feels like everyone discussing this battle falls into one of those buckets and it clouds how they judge the battle. It's no point in really debating with alot of people cause there's so much hate in their heart.

Kendrick is clearly the better rapper but the battle didn’t come down rapping - if it did then Drake would’ve won because Family Matters was the easily best track in terms of rapping from a technical standpoint.

It came down to public sentiment aka the people were tired of Drake and Kendrick tapped into that perfectly. Kendrick’s Strategy was top tier the whole way through as he able to box Drake into a position that he wasn’t able to get out of but he wouldn’t have been able to execute that if the public didn’t already want to see Drake’s downfall.

He's lying. MTG was absolutely pre-recorded. You don't record, mix and upload a 6 minute diss track in an hour even if its pre written. I think NLU was as well. He just punched in a few things to make it sound more like a rebuttal. It was excellent strategy. I'm not really into the he warned him stuff either. It's a battle. My opponent ain't warning me of nothing . Especially not on a track calling him a bad father. Which I'm also not hating on. It's a battle. Someone was always gonna say something that makes the other go further. Its the nature of the sport
