Im just letting op know meek didnt win shyt. Drake wasnt doing damage control for his placement in history but to make sure he sells records and continue to get checks. And his battle with meek didnt hurt his pockets
Drake said he is NOT respected in music.
He LITERALLY even says, that he thinks the only reason "hotline bling" won a grammy in the rap category, and "one dance" didn't get a grammy is because his music isn't respected. He said he didn't want ANY of the grammy's he won because he thought they were PITY awards. Dude isn't respected in ANY realm of music. He just one of those random people that come long that sell a lot people like nelly, vanilla ice, etc...
Meek put a dent on Drake's image/rep for sure but he also handled the beef like a fukking idiot so he took a general L. He simply should've approached the whole thing in a smarter way. The fact 6fraud is still talking about it though says a lot. The shyt bothered him and he knows a major angle of his narrative got taken away because everyone now knows he isn't a writer like that. He'll be popular long after Meek stops though. meek didnt win the beef

I was thinking this too. I would never click a Drake interview but just the battle in general, Back to Back was dope but that ghostwriter shyt is kind of ether, despite how much Apple and J Prince and whoever else got these other rappers and radio personalities downplaying it, Drake will forever have an asterisk next to his name and that's all because of Meek
That is more so due to racism than anything with Meek Mill. When you're in the "black category" (Hip Hop and R&B) they keep us in the urban lane. The same applies to Beyonce, and Rihanna. The majority of their Grammy's are in the "urban" categories.
