He's already surpassed Ja Rule in every way. Rule fell off in '04 and started in '99 [5 years]. It's already damn near 7 for Drake and he doesn't look like he's losing any steam yet
What you need to realize is in all the cases you mentioned people came along to take the position....Kendrick probaly coulda challenged Drake after Control when he could do no wrong in the eyes of people....but he dont even put out music to give people the option of replacing Drake.

Only reason why Carter 5 ain't out is because the people stopped fukking with Wayne. Them singles he put out earlier this year were much better than the Carter 4 singles, worse case they were the equal. But people moved on, we done heard to much Lil Wayne over the course of the last 7-8 years or so.
Now Drake is essentially following the same path. If you count So far gone(His best body of work so far), and the "We are Young Money" album, that's 6 albums in about 5 years.
No certified classics. Just a bunch of singles that'll be forgotten about once the next guy comes in and takes that spot.
