Drake's publishing revenue is LOW compared to others of his stature aka he really doesn't write much

you're watching another mans pockets and gossiping like a bytch.

you have no ideas about intricacies of drakes deal or publishing breakdow not to mention the fact that IYRTITL was more of a mix tape full of samples. Where was this thread for NTWS or Take care?

but imma let you cook.... just wondering what you get out of all this.

Like I said before

It's music business analytic. If your mind can only elevate to gossip and that's all that you're capable of recognizing you're operating on a much lower platform than those that can engage in this discussion

You see nothing. Obviously because you lack proper comprehension skills and intellect. Your first response to a thread . . about NUMBERS . . is to respond from a point of view rooted in emotion, essentially very feminine of you

I'm listing numbers and this dude is on here talking about "nothing to say" :camby:

im giving you the benefit of the doubt assuming you knew everyone on that list released a proper studio album in 15 that list except drake.

so even knowing all that you STILL made this thread trying to draw some weird conclusion based on gossip.

all i wanted to know was what you get out of this?

Buddy, I'm about to destroy any semblance of credibility your word can ever have around here, if you're reading this it's too late :umad:

Let's run the fact check here, because obviously you know nothing about how publishing works

Taylor Swift tops the rankings for publishing revenue with a 2014 album release . . how could that work?

First -

What A Time To Be Alive
was released in 2015
If You're Reading This It's Too Late was released in 2015

Not a proper album release? Does not matter one bit. Was the album not available for retail sale? Were the singles not charting? Did they not get radio play? Did Drake not have one of the most popular singles of the summer?

in 2015 Drake had significantly more material released than Adele . . significantly more material released than Taylor Swift . . and yet his publishing numbers absolutely pale in comparison. How about his previous catalog? Are you going to make the dimwitted case that Drake is the only artist in the world not earning publishing money from his previous catalog? :mjpls:

Now this @spinoza clown is going to try to do a 180 on his entire existence and try to argue that the music Drake put out in 2015 wasn't successful. He's going to try to make the claim that none of the music really happened. The releases were just a figment of our imagination :stopitslime:

if your reading this is too late and what a time to be alive were mix tapes.

sure he eventually put it on itunes but thats cause of the 20 million dollar deal he signed with apple music. They werent albums.

Taylor Swfits album was a late 2014 release, basically a 2015 release (why she it won the grammy that year)

but if you want to believe that drake is simply spilliting billions of dollars with millions of writers then.... cook.

Drake probably gonna fall off and then he gonna complain that the industry fukked him over and that he needs his publishing :yeshrug::yeshrug:

he not selling 1 million again, the reason why he sold this amount was just hype behind the album

Taylor Swift won the 2015 Grammy because her album was released after the 2014 cut-off date - Oct. 1, 2014 and Sept. 30, 2015 (aka, after the end of Q3). Every Grammy season is comprised of Q4 of the previous year Q1, Q2, Q3

Seeing that you bring that up . . let's talk about Adele. She earned $3.7 million and her album was released at the very end of 2015

You seem to be missing the point entirely (and probably willfully because of some bias you hold deep at your core). It does not matter if they were official releases or not. That would have nothing to do with his publishing earning. Nor does it negate the fact that his backcatalog publishing would still be accounted for and is also incredibly low for an artist of his stature

It received positive reviews and debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200, with three-day sales of 495,000 copies

But let @spinoza spin it . . it wasn't an official release :troll:

You not knowing how publishing works doesn't negate the laws of nature or business. As I said . . any credibility you may have is going to take a hit when you come in contact with me. I literally have you on the summer jam screen right now. It's a shame your fanboyism goes so far that you're willing to throw your credibility away because you'd probably be more useful to Drake if you were defending him on this board as a credible poster :heh:
