Apples to oranges. Maybe if Pierce signed with the Nets in 2002 after they knocked them out in the ECF it would be equivalent, or if he signed with Orlando in 2009. But you're trying to equalize two situations that weren't the same and you know it. Pierce criticized Durant for signing with the team that knocked him out of the playoffs, considering PP never did that I'm not sure how him saying that makes him a hypocrite

In any event, Durant did nothing illegal by choosing to change teams in free agency, he had every right to do so. But also, whether you and his other fans like it or not, other people also have the right to criticize him if they see fit as well.
Allen and KG didn't "stick it out", which Pierce did criticize KD for. Without Allen and KG, Pierce continues to miss the playoffs(in the East) and win nothing. But let's ignore that.

If the Nets offered Pierce 27 million per year(absolute max) and a chance to win multiple rings, i doubt that cry baby would turn down the offer. Like he said, he want ed to be on the biggest stage for players/fans to appreciate who he is as a player(same thing kd has said several times since July4th)

Why would he join the Magic? No money to offer him and he just won a title in dominant fashion with 2 allstars in Allen and KG(got injured in 09, i know). When KG heals up they have another go next season. Went to the finals again the next year and only lost in 7.

He did nothing illegal and this was onyl able to happen because an organization was smart and somewhat lucky. People need to get over it.

KG spent 12 years in Minnesota and didn't leave until he was in his 30s. If that wasn't sticking it out I don't know what is. Same with Ray, he had been in Seattle/Milwaukee for 11 seasons and was in his 30s when he got traded.

Maybe he would've left, maybe he wouldn't have, we don't know because he never made that choice. So the fact remains, he never did what KD did.

Again, just like you have the right to support and defend KD, other people have the right to criticize, whether you like it or not.

Garnett said in 2010 after the Celtics beat the cavaliers at the postgame what he told lebron on the court was basically that if he knew how it would unfold in Minnesota that he would have left sooner and I have to agree with him :manny:. Can't speak for Allen. Didn't follow him as closely.

And I agree with him too. He should've tried to get out of there after the Joe Smith debacle. But to say KG didn't stick it out in Minnesota is a lie

Oh I agree he tried to stick it out. I was just saying that usually that's a mistake. The last time they made the playoffs, Shaq and Karl Malone played for the lakers.

I wish people would stop bytching about KD joining Golden State. Super teams can be beaten by lesser teams, just look at 2011:mjpls:

I remember this story also if KG told lebron to bounce why would anyone get upset that he did?

I don't bash KD for leaving OKC, he was a free agent and had every right. I'm just not here for people trying to act like him & Pierce were in the same situation :manny:

Yah bruh, tell an athlete to turn down 27 million and a chance to win multiple rings with his homies because clowns on an internet forum won't respect him.

Minnesota finished using him after wasting his career and was happy that he left to go win some rings. He even said if he knew how things would play out, he would have left sooner. So that loyalty or "sticking out" angle doesn't work well here.

Those words came out of KG's mouth himself. He said he would've left if he knew how things played out. He REGRETTED staying and wasting his career.

That's fine.
