Also it helps when you start while already having some hair...Was able to rock braids and twist until I started the lock process so when it did I was already damn near jawline length.

1 year but I have high top dreads so they look pretty good even when they short
about 12-18 months. Just wear hats and beanies and shyt 
yeah my shyt at like my mid back and its getting a little tedious....
I been wanting to trim my shyt back down to that starter loc phase . shyt gets to be a hassle when it's long
