It remains to be seen if people will actually make compelling content over time.

This is true that the community makes the game.

Unless you're trying to create stuff, its probably best to wait until the community puts in work and reap the benefits over time if you plan on just playing the levels

It's much more than a music maker, it is a user friendly for the layman

1. Game Engine like Unreal Engine but easier to use
2. Music Making app like Garageband
3. Movie Making app like iMovie
4. 3D Modeling App like Maya but much easier
5. Animation Studio
6. Play and create in VR as well.


All combined in a YouTube-like environment where you can use the tools to make stuff like games, music, art, movie, but you can also experience what other people make.

These types of games never work tho, and comparing Minecraft to this is just silly. Wii-music was cool, but not cool enough FOR THE MASSES and this game is no different. Console wars got people going " Do we have another one brehs?" because this game looks silly as shyt, now and when they first showed it off at the ps4 launch. I'm not hating on new gaming concepts tho so I'm rooting for it

No the fukk it's not and lil big planet isn't a thing anymore because it flopped. It was exclusive and was a budget title for years so of course you can point to inflated numbers. Let's stop pointing to bullshyt numbers when reality is nobody misses that franchise today. You mentioned Minecraft previously but that came out a long time ago, What else came out that was ambitious and was successful? They try, but gamers (especially console gamers) don't have the attention spans for a title like this to catch on. Even if the title ends up being FANTASTIC

This is one of those things thats conceptually cool and innovative but boring as hell in practice. When you realize you'll be spending hours just in menus building your own stuff, messing with music or playing someone else's creation. Will be dope for the youtube/twitch streamers, creatives and meme makers though.

This will be insane, I watched their stream today on how they did their E3 performance and I was speechless.

It's looking incredible so far and that's without the post launch VR stuff. The potential is vast.
