Been thinking about dreams recently... The official story of how they are solely used for memory consolidation never carried any weight round here because from an evolutionary perspective having your vessel laid out for 8 hours a night whilst the sabre tooth tiger was on the prowl for snacks makes no sense plus the majority of species on the planet dreams so why would the creator give us this gift of free in flight movies each night and more to the point how come all of the random faces that surround you in dreams are literally random faces and not the shortie you saw on the bus or the cat from round the way.

I could go deep but I want to hear what y'all think first.

Anyway, speak on the topic or related aspects because between us we just may crack it as its mysteries like this that I find most interesting because they're obvious, in your face and everyday so no one ever stops to think about em. Bonus because most of y'all flabs were thinking it from the title:

I want to learn how to control my dreams.

Most times you are in a dream, no matter how outrageous it is you take it as reality. Also, dreams can go on for a long time, months, years in the span of 8 hours of you being asleep. So what would stop you from living and staying in your dream forever? Like Leonardo DiCaprio in Inception?

You can literally shape your reality for however long you choose and you can ultimately be the ruler of your own universe.

Hell, who’s to say this isn’t already happening?

Who is to say that there are not monks out there who have mastered this? They live 1000’s of years every night?

fukk!

I want to learn how to control my dreams.

Read:

The Tibetan Yoga of Sleep and Dreams

Or if you want a short cut look into a stack using Galantamine, Huperzine-A and Choline Bitartrate. Dosage has to be tailored to your own neurochemical makeup so there's a bit of trial and error involved but once you hit that sweet spot its like having IMAX dreams compared to the old VHS bootlegs you used to have.

it's only as deep as you imagine it to be*

Or maybe its far deeper than the self imposed limits on your imagination? :jbhmm:

I use to have recurring dreams where I would have to figure something out. I would fukk up in the dream and then the next night I would remember how I fukked up and learn from it. Sometimes the same dream would happen for weeks until I figured it out. The solution would sometimes be very complicated.

You’re wrong. The saying everything happens for a reason may not be true but everything IS for a reason is undeniable.

Also now if I'm having a dream and the joint gets too off the chain I'll think to myself "This gotta be a dream." Then I'll realize it's a dream and wake myself up.

Going from the first time you had this dream to the last one where you solved the puzzle how did you feel immediately upon waking up after the dreams? The mood/vibe as you were lying there. Also using the content of the dream as a metaphor/allegory was there anything going on in your life that had a similar correlation at the time? Finally during this time were you ovulating/pregnant and what was your diet (meat/pesc/veg)?

Also now if I'm having a dream and the joint gets too off the chain I'll think to myself "This gotta be a dream." Then I'll realize it's a dream and wake myself up.

Turn on a switch or look in the mirror next time and see what happens.

you have the right to complicate the simple things as much as you please

It depended on the dream. Some were scary and some were not. I was usually the savior of others in some sort of way. I was a child so I don't remember the details. Though I will still have dreams where I remember being in the settings of previous dreams.

Sometimes something happens in a dream and then it happens in real life. Like deja vu I guess.

Now that is interesting and something I was thinking of recently. I suspect its far more common than most think because how many people journal their dreams then cross reference the scenes?

The idea of a private TV screen inside your dome as you sleep is quite an intriguing waste of energy, isn't it? Yet the everyday miracles are nigh on invisible to all those except the ones who see with Inner Sense.
