If he does I respect it. By his own words he’s seen the highest highs and lowest lows. He’s topped the charts. Won awards. Has a legendarily loyal fanbase. Has gotten props from legends. He’s truly an artist that no matter what will never be forgotten.

He pretty much said how he wanted his career to pan out from the get go with the Fall Off being the last 1 but the timing of this is horrible because no matter what he does, it's gonna some how be tied to Kendrick being responsible

Damn completely forgot about Lute. He bodied his verses on the Dreamville compilation and his album was cool from what I remember. Although, like you mentioned, no mainstream appeal.

Cozz, to me, is in the same boat as Omen. They can spit but they're not consistent enough to make an impact.

I doubt it.
There's bits of Soul in Kendrick's style still to this day - if anyone is going to understand being an influence, it's Kendrick. JID a different animal than Dot anyway, that's just endemic to regional differences. if Kendrick was cloned and one of them was raised in Atlanta, they'd be different artists entirely today, and JID isn't a clone, just clearly took cues from GKMC-era Kendrick coming in and doing some stuff in rap music, with flow and cadence shifts and such.

I guarantee if they did a track together it'd be fire tho, I can say that much.

Kendrick's a better artist, but for my money, JID is a better rapper Put Jiddy on the GNX remix and he'll body that awkward-ass beat. Him getting with Dot to grow his musicianship would be great to see. Of the 3 pillars, Cole was always the #2 best pick for him to end up signed to. Cuz need to g'on to #1. And stay the hell away from #3.

Other than both of them having naturally higher pitched voices JID doesn’t really rap like Kendrick,

Kendrick is muuuccchhh deeper and esoteric lyrically. He’s also more of a storyteller. JID may come off lyrical miracle-ish at times because he raps fast but what he’s actually saying and how he’s delivering it is more simple/palatable.
