Great deal for both parties. Anyone who says this is a bad deal obviously doesn't understand NFL contracts. Brees has put up top 3 numbers over the last two seasons and has had to deal with having a bottom ranked defense. He's also only missed ONE GAME in 10 seasons with the Saints.
The deal is basically only guaranteed for the next two seasons at around 44M. It also knocks the cap hit down from 30M to 17M.
