I learned that lesson back in college playing pickup. Thought I was nice as hell, had played against some D1 bench warmers and held my own. This one cat came there who was D1 too (don't even remember his name) and you can tell he was just trying to get a run in without risking injury so he's just shooting jumpers and not really playing D. I'm popping mad shyt. This nikka came down and broke my ankles three straight time, the last one he hit me with a hesi crossover that spun me around so bad I twisted my right ankle and left knee up. Sometimes you got to show nikkas and shut em up.

Nah Denzel more than a three point shooter and was a triple double threat every night at Michigan State

In these pick up games midrange and one on one play is nothing for a pro. He just didn’t take it seriously and this guy went off on him and took him out his comfort zone.

Nah, he's playing in the Canadian minor leagues. Just googled him and he basically stopped playing ball to work as a store manager to provide for his family. He started playing again last year, Lakers d-league team cut him and then he went to play in Canada. They already had Alex Caruso and Scott Machado playing in front of him.

Last year was his first full year playing pro ball, and he turns 30 in January.

To be fair it's about doing it on a consistent basis. Just cuz you balling in Drew league does not auto warrant an NBA look. I'd love to see the league reaching out more to playerss in Drew league etc who have never gotten be a shot tho

don't agree completely but there's some truth to this. just like there's always a couple big white stiffs that get drafted top 12 in every draft that never amount to shyt.
