i'm not talking about the sonics at all. i get what you're saying about that aspect but i was trying to say that all the heavy gun talk, finger guns, makin mad gun sounds and shyt has been a huge part of the philly sound for a long time now. i agree that the beats and rhyme styles aren't comparable but the nonstop shoot-you-out-your-socks rap has always been a big philly thing to me. but me trippin isn't beyond the realm of possibilities i guess.
