From urban accents to jamaican ones lol

I wouldn't be surprised if his whole album sounded jamaican influenced.

Jcole did it first though with his dreads and speaking about bob marley's influence on him :queen: lol

I think lots of people will be making island/jamaican type music soon. It will be the new trend. Especially since Rih's work went #1 and still is #1.

I've heard that he didn't want his album to come out the same day that beyonce's album comes out. It looks like that is what is going to happen though if she decides not to release her album today.

I don't get it. These guys post those lyrics like they're the word of God, like we didn't all hear the reference track for that song last year.

@SirBiatch :stopitslime:

They're the word of 6 God :ahh:

Tent writers got one hot line every ten year average

6 Krishna writes his own shyt when he feels, and inspires others to write for him. :banderas:

Tweaks some wack lines into greatness and infuses swag into the swagless :blessed:

Drake will never have love of Internet nerds who don't go outside. That hate will always be intense but the rest of the world embrace the kid so I need to stop putting in work on this futile hate. I enjoy the emotions the shyt evokes tho I can't lie.

Back to promoting Skepta :blessed:

Imagine having this life and internet forum guys get to call you corny

All I know is I heard that nicca on OVOSound radio from Jail last week bigging up Drake :umad:
Not surprising because Drake shows him a lot of love and plays his music a lot. A lot of musical legends respect Drizzy man :yeshrug: Sorry.

your stanning is truly off the chain bruh. how many times you gon leave the thread and come back to defend another man WHO DOESN'T KNOW YOU?!

anyways, speaking as a nikka who's had fam in canada and is west indian i will say that it's not uncanny for a person to slip in and out of patois like that especially in toronto because it's a melting pot. as far as how long drake been talking like that you really can't gauge but him being influenced by west indian culture isn't foreign. hell he's been rapping about Caribana since "Room For Improvement" days and that's something that's big in downtown toronto during the summer (around governor street and whatnot)....it's basically their Carnival equivalent.

"Find Your Love" had elements of reggae to if im not mistaken (besides just the video)

I heard pnd was from barbados/bahamas. I never heard someone call him Jamaican before, I just know that his style is heavily influenced by dancehall music.

excerpt from a complex interview with one of the producers of work from

Where did it go from there with Drake and Rihanna getting involved?
Usually what happens when 1da is involved in this song, he sends it over to Party, and Party wrote the lyrics, he’s an incredible writer, and he’s Jamaican as well I think so that’s how he’s able to come up with those vibes and feels. Drake heard it, he loved the whole vibe, and you know Toronto is probably one of the largest concentrations of Jamaicans outside of Jamaica itself…so he heard it and he understood the vibes, and he put a verse down on it.

Pretty sure i heard elsewhere he was Jamaican too but not too sure
