Crazy part is that if the US was performing the same as Russia in the invasion of a country nobody would think the US is winning and the country is losing.

America lost 54k(5-7 year period) in Vietnam and ppl on this very board still mock them about it. Pulled out after the Tet Offensive which was a massive defeat for the North Vietnamese/Vietcong cause fukk it shyt wasn't worth it no more it was a civil war we had no business being in.....

But Russia losing 300k plus men in less then two years after invading a border nation(with no standing Navy I might add) without accomplishing any of its military goals and Russia is just crushing it. The mental gymnastics is entertaining

If the war ended now. And Russia held the 16% of land it has now. This war will be seen as ukraine mounting a successful defense against a larger adversary in the history books. It will be seen as a Russia failure for the amount of losses and minimal gains. Not to mention they didn’t achieve any of their strategic goals.
