in both the US and Arab Gulf states the Houthis are presented as nothing more than Iranian proxies who are just their to further Irans interests.
In reality the Houthis are an indigenous political movement that have their own priorities, identity and agenda. The amount of support Iran gives them is unclear but most academics who study the Houthis say its probably less than we expect.
That being said it is possible the Houthis didnt actually do it but want to use it for domestic or foreign propaganda.
i think theyre starting to realize it now. i wonder when and if israel will realize this
