I don't know how unknown it is but Miller's Crossing is one of the greatest gangster movies ever, as well as the Coen bros best IMO.

Thief (James Caan, directed by Michael Mann) and State of Grace (amazing performance by Gary Oldman) are also fantastic crime/gangster movies.

Watching thief now

I heard milers crossing was good

This movie, Sunshine, is criminally underappreciated sci-fi heat...I kinda hate the trailer for it though. I guess the cast is only stacked in retrospect, because they don't bother showing how many great actors were in this joint.

Watched State of Grace last night. Never seen it before. Pretty surprised I had NEVER heard of this. I enjoyed it. Wish they did some scenes of all the friends getting into shyt when they were coming up but that would have been too similar to Goodfellas. They were around the same time period I believe.
