I'm reading a book called outliers "the story of success" and it is making me think about life I keep having the face as I turn the page.

Yes success varies from person to person. But let's not stray away from the fact that we all want to achieve some form of success.

A few ways. Get good grades. Work your ass off. Find a talent/skill that you are amazing at and shoot for the moon. ???? Profit. Success really isn't that difficult to obtain when you are disciplined and well networked. Often you are the one holding yourself back, but with that said ULTIMATELY you are only as successful as the world allows you to be. You can be the most intelligent person on Earth, but if people don't want to hire you you can't do much. That's why I believe in being your own boss. No one ever got wealthy working for someone else. Being amazing won't guarantee success but it makes the odds of success a hell of a lot higher. It's really about knowing the right people.

Step on people to get ahead.

Tell on people at your job to management. Make it look reluctant.

Steal other peoples ideas and claim them as your own

Get people who threaten your rise fired.

it depends on how you measure success, really. everyone's gonna talk about money and careers, but there's a lot more to it than that. actually i saw a quote on my facebook feed a few minutes ago about success and education. i'll try to find it, that is if you guys are interested in hearing it. it's from chris hedges, a man most of you would considered successful...

I read that book. It made me want to punch the author in the face

Tips for success:

Don't drink, if you have to keep it to a minimum or strictly weekends.
Plan ahead meals, days, and money make sure everything is accounted for.
Most importantly be consistent.

Oh yeah and educate yourself as much as you can in whatever field your interested in.

You know what's also a good tip? Taking a job that pays you a bit less, but makes you a lot happier. I don't think anyone here has done that. If anyone has, drop the story.
