My ideal offseason

Let monroe walk. He wont be worth 13-15 mil some team is going to pay him.
Sign hayward and Stephenson. For 12-13 mill a year. Get a good shooter and scorer in hayward and another ball handler and good defensive player in Stephenson. Also gives them good depth a wing positions with kcp and singler coming off bench.
Sign vet backup pg like hinrich or blake
Draft mcGary in 2nd rd to be backup C/PF. Tony mitchell should get some burn.
Hope SVG can get Jennings together. And josh playing the 4 should help with his shot selection.

Hayward, singler, jerebko
Smith, mitchell, gigi
Drummond, mcGary

More balance roster with young core. Chances of getting rid of jennings or smith is slim. Probably not realistic to get both Stephenson and hayward but I could live with either.

Adding Lance to Josh and Brandon might be too much fukkery in the starting line up.Not to mention the Will Bynum extravaganza off the bench.I might stroke out halfway through the season.

I'm thinking 9-10 for Hayward and Lance but this sounds good.

I feel there is no magical way to fix this team. In a perfect situation, pistons could keep Monroe and deal Smith deal for a lights out shooter like korver or klay thompson, but that aint likely to happen. Realistically Pistons are going to have to gamble on someones potential like stephenson or hayward and are probably going to have to overpay to bring them here. Cant build team through draft with no draft picks and your stuck with smith and Jennings. Can't be afraid to spend money on FA because of past mistakes. Pistons have like 25 million dollars of cap space, they cant waste it on role players. They paid SVG a lot of money to control everything, he should be able to make the talent work.

Stephenson is a knucklehead but he plays hard on both ends of court is a willing passer and is only getting better. He is only 23 years old. And if we need someone that can shoot from the outside. Hayward isnt a great shooter but you have to account for him. He is a quality starting SF. Something not currently on roster.

SVG could do good work with Monroe imo, he did wonders with fat boy Glen Davis, and he doesn't have near the skillset of Greg.

I think Detroit fans as a whole are too worn out to be mad.We've had Joe Dumars driving this team into the ground for almost 10 years,The Millen Era,Stafford and his lunacy,Illitch givin' everybody 100 million dollar contracts,The Michigan fans gotta deal with Hoke and his bullshyt.nikkas are tired .
