From Day 1 when I look at Pope i don't get the feeling he thinks he's the shyt. Hopefully his confidence issues are addressed with a year under his belt. New surroundings, shyt coaches and Trey Burke 's shadow can make a timid kid fail.

Yeah, but unless he a straight a$$hole, a rookie with no stripes ain't gonna come in with that type of attitude. Plus Cheeks was using dude solely as a spot up shooter, which I think really limited his offensive game. I think SVG has the type of offensive vision to not pigeonhole a player when they can do more. I hope pope improves, but summer league means nothin. Austin daye used to beast in summer league.KCP 30 points 12 boards..

I don't think cheeks or whatever the other coach name was told KCP to just spot up shoot. I would bet they told him to be aggressive and he wouldn't. You think Billups was in practice and on the bench telling KCP to just spot up shoot. IMO that's why they used to sit him down was because he wouldn't be aggressive.

If he had 3 points and 6 boards, we'd be calling him a bust and including him in Sac trades so let's take this for what it is.
Plus that OKC game told me enough about his potential when his confidence is there. Daye is too small and too slow for the NBA

This. Using him to handle the ball and penetrate. The summer league normally has a couple players like Drummond and I think Jackson that our 2nd year players and light it up and it carries over to the reg season. KCP is going to be special.
