Drunk white teens die in crash after cops let them off with a warning

the kids were drunk and dude picked them up, they tested him and he blew a .005 like he had one beer. why the fukk wouldnt they let them drive away if the driver was sober? why waste time arresting the passengers? if the driver was drunk, they wouldnt have let him drive away

of course it helps if your white, but what did it help with here? where was the crime?

they had to pull over the vehicle because the teenagers were acting restless, add in the fact that the designated driver had alcohol in his system and this stop should of have been a no brainer for any competent officer.

Never mind the fact that it looks like they altered the drivers blood alcohol level after the crash to protect their cop.

Buuuuuuuut if that cop did his job and didn't give those kids a pass for their melanin deficiency then maybe they'd be alive somewhere instead of wrapped around a tree. I wish I could be in the room when the cop explains why he let those kids drive away drunk was "the right decision"

First, that's what is being reported. Second, they should have held them and had a parent(s) come get them since all of them were under 21 and drinking at 4 in the morning. They would have followed protocol if they were black teens out that late. Hollering and acting a fool.

He wasn't sober...he showed no signs of impairment.

There is a HUGE difference between "not showing signs of impairment" and "being sober" Sober means you haven't had ANYTHING at all. The driver had drank earlier.

I went to college in MO and got a MIP charge because in Missouri "your body is considered a container" so technically all of these kids could have gotten charges for Minor in Possession of alcohol and at least taken to jail to sober up and had the car impounded.

Just because someone can fool a fyckin hick cop in the middle of Missouri, does not mean that at age 19 they should be operating a car with alcohol in their system

The neglible amount of alcohol he blew isn't ability impaired. The legal limit of .08 is barely even a buzz, and he blew less than 1/8th of that.

And depending on the state you can get charged for being under 21 in posession of alcohol, but you just get a ticket usually. You can't bring home a 20 year old to their parents, once you reach the age of majority (usually 18), your parents cease to be your legal guardians.

The cops usually just care that nobody drinks and gets behind the wheel, regardless of age.
