I think that has to do with the construction economy. I was having a convo with my cab driver about that when I went several years ago.




I had a different experience…only place I’ve been to that had more exotic cars out and about was Monaco (and that was during grand prix weekend).

Maybe COVID put a bit of a damper on things?

Not sure but one thing I will say is there are way more people here with G wagons than America. I saw G wagons at the same level as I see range rovers in the states.

When I went to Dubai in like 2011, there was a lot of bad bytches walking around that weren’t Arab. Mostly escorts I’d assume because one of the hotels I stayed at had $400 a hour escorts

Good - this city is live with life especially Old Dubai. Reminds me of the Bronx or uptown Manhattan just replace the Dominicans, Black Americans and Jamaicans with Palis, Bengalis, and Filliponos. Both places have lots of Africans so I excluded Africans.

You can walk to get anything you need there are restaurants and stores everywhere and some are 24/7 and can hail a cab with ease.

The part of Dubai that we see on TV all the new stuff is too beautiful to write about you literally catch yourself walking non stop just staring at stuff.

Also this country is cheap when exchanging American for Dubai currency. My cab rides were like $3 in American dollars lol.


There are a lot of Africans here so you will not feel like a needle in a haystack as a black person here. I made new friends here from Ghana, Nigeria, Cameron (seem a lot of Cameroon people here for some reason)


Bad - This place is extremely hot. It’s insane that people are in the streets chilling like this is nothing. Walking 5 blocks felt like I ran a mile.


women - this is not a place I would put on my list as far as having baddies because the place is very conservative and for some strange reason especially in old Dubai I feel like I see more men than women by a long shot in the streets.


trees - if you like trees forget it about outside the palm trees that like the major streets, trees seem to be a myth here.

Dogs - I did not see one person with a dog in this entire country lol. Literally not one.

Dubai aint cheap bro,i lost maaad money on nothin, there are just a lot of taxis so demand/supply you know, plus them people have oil in abundance so anything gas related is going to be cheaper.

bruh there are women from all over the world......but you know........its on the low low........just.....there are baddies there flown in...lemme stop


I thought you meant trees like sticky trees......nah strict on drugs for sure even though i get mine in when i go.......as for regular trees........i think in jumeirah beach the only place i saw.....but maybe those are fake
