Duck Down Music is rallying its troops for the label’s annual concert event. This year’s Duck Down BBQ is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 at Betsy Head Park in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
The free event is a 20th anniversary celebration of Drew “Dru-Ha” Friedman and Kenyatta “Buckshot” Blake’s founding of the company in 1995.
This year’s line up includes performances by Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Sean Price, Rock of Heltah Skeltah, Kirk Knight & CJ Fly of Pro Era, Raz Fresco, Chelsea Reject, and Young M.A. Music will be provided by Statik Selektah and Mr. Green. It will be hosted by Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg.
The Duck Down BBQ is free to the public. The showcase is part of NYC’s City Parks Summer Stage which is also celebrating its 30-year anniversary. BBQ attendees will also get access to free food and merchandise.
