I went in there on my lunch break to reserve a game an the next gen topic came up...

He said, that it(XB1) doesnt have to have an internet connection, and that it can update from your cell phone mobile network. This was in response to my asking him, "well, what if I go out of town somewhere that doesn't have internet?"

The rest of what he said was.....
"You can still do things on it for up to 24hrs with no connection...then it needs to re-connect to update itself. It's no big deal...I think that the uproar is that people don't like being told what to do."

:beli:

I'm sure some of you know this alreay, I just thought his logic of defense was funny. He then said they'd reached the maximum number of pre-orders for XB1, but there was still plenty of PS4 left.

He's right tho, I DON'T like being told what to do especialy when I'm dropping $500 for a damn game system, I want to have control over when I can/cannot play and not have it be dependent upon other factors.

why would i lie about going to gamestop? :rudy:

Or are you saying the gamestop dude is lying?

:duck: to everything dude said to you.

Throwing it out here. With this constant on shyt going on for at least the next xbox, possibly the ps4 I may just buy a new Blu-Ray player if and when my ps3 dies and save some money for a top of the line pc. Always on is fine for that thing if needed.

I don't want my shyt always online. For one thing I don't have Wi-Fi and hate dragging my god damn cord through the house to update my systems in the living room. My 360 and ps3 had been offline for over a year and were fine. The I updated them a couple months ago. Still can play them, and still playing my MVP 2005(ps2 of course) because it was the last baseball game where I can just have fun.

I suppose so.

My net is iffy at best on a hard line and I play too many multi-player games to have even worse issues if it goes down on wi-fi.

As to the 8 year old baseball game. I own MLB the Show(last year I think) and enjoy it, but I just have fun with MVP 2005.
