There is a real epidemic of lonliness among men in general but particular in the teens to twenties age group that has more to do with how society has left working class men behind. The qualities we identify as requirements to be men are becoming more and more out of reach. College degrees don't go as far as they used to. You damn near need a masters or better to be sure you'll have a good income after graduating and even then you've likely amassed an extraordinary amount of debt doing so. Seeing yourself providing or even contributing to a family/relationship willl be difficult to envision given the circumstances. Add on that many of the other metrics we associate with being a man are considered toxic and you've got a generation that has to quickly reorient from past decades of example. Too often folks trying to figure it out go down this path of white supremeacy, bigotry, misogony, etc.
