As a casual gamer people are gonna play what they like, what has a strong community and play what's going to have the most bang for their buck.


Case in point,

I bought 2k15, joined the coli fantasy 30-user league, had the most fun draft ive ever had...because everyone had at least some knowledge of the players and how they wanted their play style to be.

It made playing offline even worthwhile

I literally had to figure out how to win games against the cpu when I started because the playstyles were so different.


Things like that make you keep coming back every year.
