this whole anthony pettis thing has been a saga. up and down weight classes, title fights, no title fights, etc. :mindblown:

i'm not even mad at this though. i've been wanting to see them fight again for a while. i'd rather see him fight benson than fukking tj grant, although pettis vs. aldo would've been ill.

Damn, can't wait! Similar to the first fight, I think this one can go either way.

How convenient. One of your biggest draws loses, and another one (GSP) could possibly lose, and suddenly Grant is "injured" setting up a re-match the fans were dying to see? Not complaining but it's very suspicious. If I was Pettis I'd start watching recent tape on Bendo and time when he clears his hair from his eyes.

Nobody has beaten Pettis 'easily'.

Their first fight was close and since then, both fighters have shown great improvements. Thus, I see the rematch being close as well.

Guida beat him easily. Benson knows not to stand with Pettis this time around. He's gonna take it to the ground and smash him up like he does with all his last opponents. We'll see how much Pettis's wrestling has improved. Benson is a huge LW and probably one of the strongest guys in that division.

I think these MMA dudes OVER-TRAIN...

Do you really have to go that "hard" during training...? I think strength and conditioning, and light skill practice will be enough...

The average fight is somebody lying on top of another body, and not even doing anything...

Or people just circling and throwing tentative inaccurate punches throughout the fight...

They definitely train harder than they fight...
