My wife is an AKA and she’s cracking up about this. I think they had Mint Condition at their conference last year and Morris Day and the Time before that. I get you want to touch on each generation, but you have to know who you’re booking. It doesn’t have to be all R&B artists, but you have to understand that these conferences have AKAs in their 80s there, so you have to know the type of music the artist you’re booking puts out.

I agree it made no sense to book him and they had to know what kind of music he’d be performing. We are 30 years removed from the 90’s which is crazy. You’re going to get a Trick Daddy or somebody like that at least on the list to consider. You get what you paid for. If they were going for a rapper for the millennial age group that at least would have been more appropriate they could have gotten TI, Nelly, Jeezy, etc. But all of them likely would have cost way too much.
