yeah, the deal was supposed to be Hill and Duncan. McGrady was going to Chicago, iirc.

Then Duncan decided to stay and Orlando got McGrady. This "all 3" stuff was revisionism.

Chicago was a topic of conversation and that was it. He wanted to come home and he was legit willing to sign a 3yr 4.5 milly per deal at the mid level exemption, if Hill and Duncan were joining him in Orlando. Those are FACTS.

You’ll have to take my word for it breh. I don’t blow no smoke. I hooped A LOT with Tracy and fam here in Central Florida. All over. From the Orlando Rec Center, to The church in Polk County that Tracy himself had built (forgot the name) We all talked a lot and shot the shyt quite a bit. Lost touch when he left for Mount Zion, but seen him a bunch of times since. He’s never forgotten the dudes from Auburndale and Central Florida.

Edit: I couldn’t care any less what you believe dawg. I KNOW what I’m talking about. @Supreme Leader Reinscarf :yeshrug:

McGrady signed a 7 year 92 mill

Now I'm supposed to believe he would Have signed a 3 year 12 mill

I don’t know about the 12 Milli Thing but he was willing to take less pay than he ended up with to play with Duncan.

People kind of forget but let’s go back to that summer. T-Mac wasn’t T-MAC yet. He was primed to blow up but both Grant Hill and Duncan were more seasoned and more accomplished at the time.

Hell people thought he was going to play second fiddle to Hill on Orlando

Its no way you watched basketball that season. You sound ridiculous
Arguably the biggest Kobe Stan on the site just said he was flabby :camby:

For his standard and for a superstar player yes Kobe was ass in 2004. He had a lot going on that year from Colorado, to injuries, to beef with Shaq and Phil.

Kobe averaged 24 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, on 44/32/85 splits, he declined across the board from his '03 season which was arguably his best season and he was 25 years old. His '04 Finals were pretty bad too.

He played with Shaq, Payton & Malone

It's no way a guy plays with 3 other all stars & the expectation is for him to put up better #s

Ask KG & Nesterovic if Kob was flabby. Ask Ruben Patterson. Ask Manu & Bowen.
