Kobe is a fukking icon, one of the best ever, a multi millionaire, he beat a rape case, still married to the one he wifed at 18, and a champion. If ANYBODY in the league that didn't need defending, it's that man. He did it three times over. Clap for him.

One thing I've learned about the NBA is that it is truly a fraternity in a sense that these players have no problem sticking it to the media in defense of one of their own. I remember Kobe doing it last year for LeBron and Westbrook.

Peyton has always been known as a possible regular season GOAT who always had major difficulties in the postseason (and plenty of people think he lucked up winning the title he did win by getting to play against a team led by Rex Grossman)... Kobe is known, more than anything else, for being a winner who showed up in the biggest moments (whether you personally agree or not, or wanna argue specifics/teammates/blah, blah, blah).
