Breh just take some time to research this ish and watch some tape. You'd be shocked. KD played ELITE defense last year. The tape will surprise you. There's a reason KD was top 10 in defensive wins shared and lebron wasn't even top 20. KD was also the 4th best Pick and Roll defender in the league and the 8th best isolation defender in the league according to synergy. If you're gonna argue, at least argue after reading this:

Giannis is NOT an elite defender, not yet, anyway.

Yeah he is. He’s elite at everything except probably guarding P&R ball handlers he can be a little overzealous/dirty at times and post defense where I’ve seen the LBJ’s and Melo’s do work on him.

But defending spot ups with that length, defending the rim, on the ball, switch across all 5 positions, getting in the pass lanes, defensive rebounding, deflections, freakish athletic defensive plays in transition he’s elite in all those. He has length, motor, athleticism, anticipation/awareness don’t see how he’s not elite.

His athleticism makes up for a lot of his defensive miscues, until he fixes those things, and raises his BBIQ on that end, I ain't ready to call him an elite defender just yet. Similar applies to the offensive end.

Folks get too caught up in his athleticism and defensive highlights, that they aren't taking in all his miscues in the same measure. While his athleticism does make up for a certain amount of those errors, they don't make up for all of them. There's still a number of defensive issues he has that I'm not willing to look over because of his athletic feats. Similar to the reason why I don't consider him an elite offensive player, just yet.

So if the I.Q. catches up to the athleticism what type of defender we talking

If his BBIQ ever matches his athleticism, we're talking that thing with horns on its head.
