Tools? Durant hasn't gotten any better. Durant is nothing but a, big 7 foot doofus who jack up three pointers and occasionally drives to the basket. He can't post up, can't play defense, can't make anyone on his team better and cry to his mama every time he takes a L. I've said this many times before, Westbrook is the real leader on that team.

Say what you want about Bron but the dude has composure

Durant and Russ seem to overplay under pressure and make unnecesary mistakes

Yupppp. You could tell from game 5 that Russ and KD lacked composure and were trying to finish off the Warriors forcefully. I think that's the biggest thing with these two that doesn't put them into the category of the true greats. They don't have that composure and make a lot of mental mistakes when the pressure is on.

If they lose he needs to study Dirk game/approach to the game. But not sure he had the mental force to do the same.
Ever since finals loss there was a concern that his lack of low post scoring would be his disadvantage, up to this point he still hasnt learned nor is he willing to learn. Once Dirk learned to score low post he won championship, once Bron did that he won with the heat too, even Kobe had to go learn more about this part of the game, like him attending Hakeem lessons, and he was one of few who actually did learn more from Hakeem.

Durant could be major major player if he learned, with his wingspan and ability to shoot basketball.....but that foot injury fukked him up, I dont believe he came back stronger than before, his mvp season will be his best season.

My point exactly. All this new-age way of playing the game is cool and all, but a post game is a great way of getting a high quality shot and slowing the game down, both things that would've been welcomed for them in Game 6 for example. Dude has a huge height advantage every game and doesn't use it.

Unrelated but at some point Ibaka had Curry on him on a switch, didn't even back him down :snoop::snoop::snoop:

Yup, shooting is good and all that and guards cant master low post scoring because well the height is not their advantage, but KD can basically score over anyone, yet he refuses to learn this style of play that gives you CONSISTENT points when needed. But I feel like its too late for him to learn, he's a bit too light to play in low post and him gaining more weight would do worse to that foot.
