Kevin Durant says Rockets' James Harden underappreciated

"Nobody really appreciates what he does except for the players in our league," Durant said. "Everybody on the outside doesn't really appreciate what he brings. Anybody that can put up 29 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and not make the All-NBA team, that's like a sin to even think about not putting a guy like that on the All-NBA team.

"As a player and someone that played with him and a fan of the game I was (angry) because somebody is right here in front of you and you can't appreciate him. If he were to retire tomorrow, we would have so many stories and videos about how great he is, but he's here right now doing it. Appreciate what he brings."

He got a point.

But the nikkas defense is literally terrible,I really think dude couldn't check regular people at the YMCA,he just doesn't try
He CAN D up, he just blatantly chooses not to. We've seen him play decent and even good defense before.

And Durant is right. Harden has basically become the whipping boy for media and casual fans to the point where people can't appreciate the fact that he's an elite offensive player and is IMO the best one on one player in the game right now.

No,he has the ability and potential to play defense,it's a difference.

What's the difference? :dwillhuh: I said he can play defense, you said he has the ability to play defense.

He doesn't play it that's the difference you made it seem like he does play it no he doesn't play defense at all, doesn't have the mindset, which makes him not being able to.

Of course, NBA players know more about basketball and great basketball players than armchair coli nerds that couldn't even make it on a d3 basketball team. :yeshrug:

:sas1:

THIS.

Does no one remember that the players voted James Harden as MVP and DeAndre Jordan as "Best Defender"??? :scust:

Players used to vote for MVP, but they got it taken away because personal bias was way too big a part. Wilt kept losing MVP to Russell just because everyone liked Russell and hated Wilt.
