I've seen Kobe do many things Lebron could never do, works both ways.

by that logic, theres 2nd unit players that we can put ahead of both kobe & LeBron.

since when do we base our all-time lists on this stuff?

its like people are going out of their way to change the criteria up, so that they can sneak kobe in thru the backdoor.

I don't recall anybody polling me.
doesn't sound like you got the call either.
these things are small sample-sized.

and I see you fell back from that "kobe was the most popular black athelete from 2004-10" statement.

Maybe 2004 was a lil too early. But from 2006-2010 he was definitely the most popular athletes among black folks. Cacs still hated him which is why he was not #1 overall. But the black community held it down for Kobe during that period.

by that logic, T-Mac is better than both of them by a wide-margin.

There is no backdoor. NBA greats and people who actually know the game and not just stats/analytics will tell you Kobe is one of the greatest to ever live and Bron isn't vastly superior to him like y'all think he is.

no he wasn't. theres a grip of NBA players that were more popular, and that's not even counting the NFL players and other athletes.

and the black community doesn't go out of its way to ride for celebrities that don't ride for them - i.e. look at how bill cosby is being left for dead. people who viewed kobe as an uncle tom in the '90s-early '00s weren't the ones rushing to his defense and suddenly becoming fans. they were too busy laughing at him for f*ckin with an ugly white smut.

kobe's increase in black fans thru '06-10 is a result of NEW FANS coming of age.
sorta like usher & lil wayne. people who brushed them off in the '90s-early '00s generally weren't the ones jockin them in the mid-late '00s, calling them great singers/rappers.

Between 03-04. That Rape case, and the Shaq issue. Kobe was a national name. To say he was the most popular(whether it be good or bad) isn’t far fetched or You forgot all that fukkery went on with him during that time

You must be white or not know black people. First of all, ain't no NFL player more famous than Kobe in the black community. First of all, we don't care about the NFL like that. Secondly, the NFL pushes cac QBs as the face of the league so black people never fukk wit those dudes. A basketball player is almost always gonna be the most popular athlete to black america.

And white boy you buggin if you think there was a single basketball player more popular than Kobe from 2006-10. Especially in the black community. Kobe was easily the most popular athlete to black america during that period. By that time Shaq, Iverson, Vince Carter, and T-Mac had fallen off. LeBron was not as popular as he is now. It was Kobe easily.

For this statement to make any sense that would have to mean that Kobe is the undesputed 2nd GOAT player behind Jordan

Ironically all the athlete/people who make this stupid assertion just skip past players
like Kareem, magic,Bill,Shaq. These are players that are consistently in most people's Top 5.
