During this Cavs/Warrior trilogy: Which player could have been the “KD equivalent”...

For the Cavs?

Because before KD these teams were fairly evenly matched. The Warriors obviously had more firepower, but that usually somewhat nullified because the Cavs just knew how to slow those dudes down. Plus Bron outplayed Steph and Klay combined in the first 2 matchups.

But when KD came everything tipped so lopsidedly in the dubs favor that it was a mismatch.

Which player could the Cavs have added anywhere in the league that could retip the scales and once again make it an even matchup? Who could have joined the Cavs coming that 2017 loss with Bron-Kyrie-Love...and fit in as seamlessly and complimentary yet have the strengths that elevate everything that the team did like KD did?

Cause I’m struggling to think of a player who would have done for the 2016 champion Cavs/ unseated in 2017 that KD did for the 2015 champion Warriors / unseated in 2016

That KD shyt was really the all time glitch in Nba history brehs

Steph Curry was the only all star on the Warriors 2015 championship team
the 2nd and 3rd best players at the time accolades wise was David Lee and Iggy

The warriors team was DRAFTED well and mesh well together. More teams should strive to be like them. The Thunder was once them with HArden, Durant and Westbrook

He's prob the closest one. But im not sure he impacts the Cavs the same way KD did with the Warriors. A Bron-Kyrie-Love-Davis Lineup would have been beastly tho.

So how u gonna downplay the Warriors and that squad and in the same token boost up K-love (26&10 my ass) Kyrie is elite but neither him nor love even played so 15 is moot anyway.

Kd. Kd got him im 2016, but kawhi destroyed him 2014. Plus kawhi wouldn’t have to be the leading scorer so he could focus on the defense
