Straw men? A thread with some dude who may have smacked up a woman and bringing up abused men is a counterpoint? :mjlol:

Just close your eyes and imagine this hypothetical for a second...

Imagine if a black MLB player alleged that he was the victim of a racist hate crime (vandalism or harassment), or he was a victim of a racially-motivated assault.

A journalist asks an old, white MLB manager from the south his thoughts on the story...

First thing outta his mouth is: "I dont believe reports".

Then the manager equivocates a bit, and says that if something did happen he insinuates the black player was either the aggressor (white person was defending himself), and/or the player is making it all up (designed a racial hoax), with leading questions like "who really knows who caused it?"..

Then this white manager launches into an unprovoked reverse-racism tirade about how his unnamed "white friend" has been the victim of abuse from an unnamed and unverified black man..

Bruh, the coli servers would be smoking, and this thread would be 79 pages deep. Niccas would be going livid with the "cac this" "cac that" shyt, and demand for the manager's job. And for good reason too in the above scenario.

But I guess its okay in their mind to reduce women to second class citizens, and use twisted logic to enforce historical mistreatment.

I think a lot of these coli mannists need to step outside of themselves for a bit, and assess what their true character is all about. It seems like a lot of niccas here are the type of person they claim to hate.

You're trolling bruh. Dusty didn't bring up the fact that some men get abused by their women as a counterpoint or deflection to Chapman. He brought that up in reference to baseball's domestic violence policy as a whole. You're deliberately taking his(and others) comments out of context to build your straw man and push your agenda. Not a good look.

I'm trolling because the only end game in bringing up "well men get beat too!!" is deflection?

That's not what he said though so why are you acting like it is? He basically said "yea I think the new DV policy is good but players wives need to be included too because all abusers aren't men". Its like you have a vested interest in upholding the double standard that says men hitting women is wrong but women hitting men is ok. Not a good look.

My Friend's Chick gave him a concussion a few years ago hitting him in the head with an umbrella

For whatever reason, I have tears in my eyes from laughing at this scenario. Wat the fukk kind of umbrella was she rolling around with, some Wile E. Coyote Acme umbrella with an anvil inside of it?

You're the one deflecting tho bruh. Bullshyt analogies like the one below don't fly. An accurate analogy would be black women and police violence. Despite the fact that black men are abused/killed by police much more frequently than black women are, that doesn't mean that it's only a black male issue. Many black women have complained about the perceived lack of attention given to black women who have been harmed under suspicious circumstances by police. The "say her name" hashtag campaign is all about that. It should be the same thing with DV. Just because women are absurd at a higher rate doesn't mean that the abuse of men should be ignored. The double standard regarding DV hurts men AND women.
"Men get beat too!" Is the same exact thing as "All lives matter!" I wish y'all would just admit to not giving a damn about DV and keep it pushing instead of holding on to that nonsense
This is a stupid ass analogy and it's a shame that it got sapped by multiple people.

The whole point of the "black lives matter" is to call out the system that says that black lives don't matter. DV is not about systematic discrimination of women. There is no system in place that will protect a black man who is caught harming a woman. In fact, the systematic privilege regarding DV is held by women over black men because all a woman has to do is accuse a black man of harming her and the system will automatically side with her against the black man.
For whatever reason, I have tears in my eyes from laughing at this scenario. Wat the fukk kind of umbrella was she rolling around with, some Wile E. Coyote Acme umbrella with an anvil inside of it?

Now imagine the backlash that you'd get makin these corny ass jokes in response to a story of a man givin his lady a concussion by hitting her in the head with an umbrella.

Breh, I laugh everytime I hear the story all the time. She repeatedly hit this man over and over again until he had one. Apparently he had gotten one from a previous fight months back and it's easier to get a 2nd concussion. Me and my other homie used to call him the Troy Aikman of the streets.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
He's catching alot of heat but he's now wrong either

Nats' Baker defends Chapman amid allegations
I dont disagree with the point he is trying to make, but how possibly could the baseball domestic violence policy apply to people not playing or involved in the game? :mindblown: These dinosaurs need to STFU about this kind of shyt, because when they limp in with passive aggressive statements like that, it is counterproductive to people that are out there trying to shed light on it.
