Straw men? A thread with some dude who may have smacked up a woman and bringing up abused men is a counterpoint?![]()
Any of y'all got homies getting their ass beat at home?![]()
Stick to baseball, Dusty. :telldatroof:
Dusty said:But your job in the middle is to either score them or drive them in. The name of the game is scoring runs. Sometimes, you get so caught up in on-base percentage that you're clogging up the bases.
You're trolling bruh. Dusty didn't bring up the fact that some men get abused by their women as a counterpoint or deflection to Chapman. He brought that up in reference to baseball's domestic violence policy as a whole. You're deliberately taking his(and others) comments out of context to build your straw man and push your agenda. Not a good look.Straw men? A thread with some dude who may have smacked up a woman and bringing up abused men is a counterpoint?![]()
I'm trolling because the only end game in bringing up "well men get beat too!!" is deflection? You're trolling bruh. That's not what he said though so why are you acting like it is? He basically said "yea I think the new DV policy is good but players wives need to be included too because all abusers aren't men". Its like you have a vested interest in upholding the double standard that says men hitting women is wrong but women hitting men is ok. Not a good look.I'm trolling because the only end game in bringing up "well men get beat too!!" is deflection?

It's a deflection.....period.That's not what he said though so why are you acting like it is? Dumbest thing I've heard in my life. "clogging up the bases" :mjlols:
My Friend's Chick gave him a concussion a few years ago hitting him in the head with an umbrella
You're the one deflecting tho bruh. Bullshyt analogies like the one below don't fly. An accurate analogy would be black women and police violence. Despite the fact that black men are abused/killed by police much more frequently than black women are, that doesn't mean that it's only a black male issue. Many black women have complained about the perceived lack of attention given to black women who have been harmed under suspicious circumstances by police. The "say her name" hashtag campaign is all about that. It should be the same thing with DV. Just because women are absurd at a higher rate doesn't mean that the abuse of men should be ignored. The double standard regarding DV hurts men AND women. It's a deflection.....period.
This is a stupid ass analogy and it's a shame that it got sapped by multiple people."Men get beat too!" Is the same exact thing as "All lives matter!" I wish y'all would just admit to not giving a damn about DV and keep it pushing instead of holding on to that nonsense
Now imagine the backlash that you'd get makin these corny ass jokes in response to a story of a man givin his lady a concussion by hitting her in the head with an umbrella. For whatever reason, I have tears in my eyes from laughing at this scenario. Wat the fukk kind of umbrella was she rolling around with, some Wile E. Coyote Acme umbrella with an anvil inside of it?

I dont disagree with the point he is trying to make, but how possibly could the baseball domestic violence policy apply to people not playing or involved in the game?
