Some old heads used to tell me stories bout that name Ken Knight
People don't realize that when black folks first started moving to the Northside back in the 60s and 70s and whites fled to the burbs that Ken Knight (not Washington Heights) was like the spot for middle-class/upper-class blacks. My mom told me that those town houses back off in the cut on Ken Knight were where the "rich black folks" lived.
Then came crack and it was over
When I came back in 04. . I rented a house on the Eastside. . .

I KNOW BREH! Before I came back I was in the Navy. So I was either on base or I had a lil apt in Mayport.
I knew Jax but I did not KNOW Jax. So when I decided I was moving back I looked online. . Saw. .Oh! A 3 bedroom house for 550. Near Downtown.
I hit a lick!Get there to check it out. .
It seemed ratchet. .But I Could not pass up the price. After a couple of days. . I was like
I signed a 6 month lease and I am tied to this place! 
I used to work nights. Come home at 4am. There would be bad ass kids walking around like its nothing. Fiends looking at me
as I am driving past. Saw this one old ass hooker flash her t*ts at me at the stoplight by Premier Supermarket. It looked like some flapjacks.
Another thing down there. . There were always cops everywhere. But they never did shyt but sit in their cars.
