Therein lies the problem though....LeBron is such a ball hog and unable to play within a more free-flowing offense which enable those around him to feel like actual participants within the offense, that they're phukin clueless when he's off the court.
It's a team sport for a reason, even arguably the biggest ball-hogs Kobe and Jordan had to play within a more equal opportunity offense during their championship runs. Championship caliber teams will live with LeBron averaging a triple-double, as long as their team wins.
His usuage rate is too damn high, if he knew how to play off the ball...teams would then be forced not only to defend whichever teammate of his has the actual ball in their hands, but they would also have to stretch their defense to focus wherever on the floor LeBron happens to be on, which would open up lanes/cuts for the rest of the team. Problem is, LeBron has never showed the willingness to shoot off the pass on a consistent basis.

they wasn't. Lebron had guys like jason terry and jj barrea guarding him when they zoned and he was playing hot potatoe on the perimeter.
