What would've been an appropriate response to y'all? We can say "fukk Hogan" because we watched him on screen. These wrestlers traveled with him and spent the better part of their lives around him pretty much 24/7. Guys like Randy, Rock etc... were kids when they met Hulk. Did y'all expect Rock to go militant and say Kill Whitey over what Hogan said?

There was absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. Dwayne wasn't defending Hogan at all; he was basically saying to Hogan. And The Rock is still with the WWE and a public figure so he has to watch what he says as well.

I bet any black wrestler currently with the WWE would've gave a similar response to Hogan. What if Sasha Banks' reaction to Hogan was the same as The Rock? Do you think these same fake outraged dudes would do a complete 180 on her?

I'm not defending rock and certainly not Hogan, but he's saying essentially "we've all talked sh*T about another race, in private", and quite frankly on some level that's true.
And of course Rock has a different take on it b/c it's someone he's known his whole life.
My beef with Hogan is that it seems to be an ongoing thing, not just a one time thing. That jail convo with his son is almost as bad as the original stuff that started all this

Full disclosure:
I was a huge Rock fan growing up. I still like Dwayne, I just enjoy a laugh at the expense of his stan(s). While it would be great for Dwayne to assume this role of black power and leadership, we have to be real. That's not Dwayne. It's now who he ever was. He'll put on for his people every now and then, but he'll never be that outspoken voice of black folks, and honestly, that's fine. While it was the safe, PC thing to say, I don't take umbrage with what Dwayne said. He condemned what Hogan said without tearing into him. The "we all talk trash" statement was kinda suspect, but only because this wasn't Hogan getting caught using a word in jest with a friend, or singing along to a rap song, or even used in an altercation with a black man who did something extremely foul to him. This was Hogan straight up saying that he was a racist. How sincere that was isn't up to us to decide (although, I don't think you quantify yourself as a racist unless you really believe you are, and I do believe that Hogan is a racist, or at least has strong racist beliefs).

TLDR: Rock isn't the voice of black folks, he's not trying to fukk his money up and he may genuinely not believe Hogan is a racist.
