by that logic, Wade is <<<<< whatever talent is around in 30 years. :rudy:

No you idiot, by that logic you only rank players you saw play and it's understood that you can't objectively rank players you have watched against players you didn't.

So you just don't include those players in the conversation out of respect and common sense

Wade is like 50 cent to me. I hate what he's become...but I can never really hate Wade

I'd have to put him over AI finally on the shooting guard list. Three titles helps his cause greatly. And I could see him being over Jerry West too. As for Oscar I consider him a point guard for the most part.

West has 1 ring and wasn't even the finals mvp when he did win.

Wade has 3 rings and has 1 finals mvp

Both played with all time greats so the "so and so got carried" excuse shouldnt be used. Actually, i dont think west won his ring until he teamed up with Wilt...Wade already won his first ring before bron came through.

west has a slight advantage with the numbers but it isnt by much. He also has more all nba teams but Wade still has time to catch up.

Skills and impact on the game is hard to tell since ive seen small samples of west so ill leave that to the older heads to argue about.

But so far, all the evidence supports that Wade>> every 2 guard not named jordan or kobe. the logo is close, but if kobe, wade, and jordan, all went to 10 finals and only won 1 (and had WILT as a partner), how much of a "choker" would fans and media consider them?
How "high" would kobe be ranked had he only won 1 ring over his career yet played with our gens most dominant shaq, and several other hofs:unsure:?

Wade is a top 3-4 guard, and a top 25-30 player. Ppl use their personal hate for a man they dont know influence how they perceive him as a player.

In my opinion, its better to look at a player's impact in their generation rather than comparing numbers. Comparing numbers across eras is almost impossible with all of the changes between the 60's and 2000's.

West was the most dominant SG in his generation. Period.

10x All-NBA 1st teams. 12x All-NBA teams. Jordan and Kobe are there but Wade has no chance at getting close at this point in his career. 14x All-Star. An FMVP. 25K+ points, 5K+ rebounds, 6K+ assists.

Wade does have the advantage in rings. Wilt and West teamed up towards the end of their careers which limited their window. West also ran into the most dominant dynasty in NBA history. As a team, the Lakers weren't very close.

I don't think the evidence conclusively points to Wade for 3rd.

Can never get far into these sg rankings list without getting sad at what couldve been for TMac. What a sad career.

tmac should be in these discussion off his size and talent.

He should have had a career up their with the greats.

SKILL wise yes..but career wise NO. derailed by injuries makes his resume only slightly better than penny hardaway
