I get why some of yall would criticize what the Bulls are doing - any questions about spacing, yeah, I get it

but ya'll need to understand that this franchise needed a signing like this. Needed to shed that image big names didnt want to come here (which was already false) and needed to build some goodwill back with players around the league, who now are able to dictate their every move.

Its a two year relationship that could help this franchise for many years to come, and perhaps as early as next summer if Wade can help recruit another max player to sign here to play with him, Jimmy & our young guys.

Its not perfect, but its something this franchise needed. Yall cant be the same ones every year saying the Bulls cant sign big names, people dont respect the Bulls FO, etc, etc and then shyt on this move. Yall non Bulls fans dont understand just how lowly our respeck levels got around the league

Would have been amazing if they kept DRose and rode with him - but still, this was a nice stepping stone for our franchise

Hopefully it yields a big name player to sign here next summer at a max contract

"This was not an easy decision, but I feel I have made the right choice,'' Wade told the Associated Press in a statement.

"He's home," one source close to Wade said of the Chicago native.

"Watching the Bulls growing up inspired me at an early age to pursue my dream of becoming a basketball player," Wade wrote to the AP. "My most treasured memories were watching my dad play basketball on the courts of Fermi Elementary School and developing my game at the Blue Island Recreation Center. I have never forgotten where I came from and I am thankful to have an opportunity to play for the team that first fueled my love of the game."
