I'm not mad at the joke, I just think it's wack that this would only happen in an "athlete gives back to the community" thread when it's Dwight.

If someone made a joke about Floyd Mayweather not being able to read or Jameis stealing shyt in a thread about them giving back to the community I guarantee nikkas here will be in their feelings. Make a joke about Cam's shytty passing after a bad game and some nikkas here will act like you insulted Malcolm X

Those examples you gave don't really work imo. I think it was a good joke because it actually involved kids something near and dear to Dwight's heart.

If the article dealt with something about Floyd hosting a read-a-thon you'd best believe there'd be some excellent jokes. Likewise if Jameis promoted a low-cost healthy seafood restaurant in some impoverished neighborhood.

I agree the joke was funny. But you know the posters who made jokes in your examples would be negged and called cacs with the quickness. Someone would play the "why are yall bringing another black man down?" card and guilt trip everyone out of it. None of that is happening in a thread about Dwight.
