I was in the service and did my time so of course I know that's an issue. But if everyone had to do a mandatory minimum there wouldn't be a quota system. Also the discipline aspect isn't just surface level because it's people out here that haven't served at all lacking those basic concepts especially accountability. If you get even got 2/3 of those they'll make people slightly better in this country. But like someone else said. A majority of the country is fat and out of shape. 2 yrs of PT will help the country out as a whole.

I spent 12 yrs in. Mandatory service won't fix issues. I've known mf's who were in the same amount of time I was in and longer who are straight up shytbags. The discipline has to be accepted. A lot of mf's who go in only to get chaptered out are the ones that join then decide that ain't what they want. Now think about it with a gang of mf's who don't want to be there. Good order and discipline will be way worse than it is now. 2 yrs of PT won't matter cause it ain't like nikkas staying in that good of shape while in. If it were doing this well as you think it is, the ABCP wouldn't exist. All volunteer service is infinitely better than forced enlistment.

Some of the countries that have a mandatory service are doing it because they are in danger of being attacked at some point in the future. Meanwhile no country is doing a full attack on American land lol, are we in WW3?? Nope, no matter how many scary social media posts you might see.

How about fix the current American military? There's plenty of criminal behavior there and lack of discipline. Also many Americans are not physically fit to join the military. What's Dwight Howard's plan to make those people more disciplined....a mandatory diet? That would be funny!
