Bay Area cats stampeding in here to defend earl 40’s honor

Still remember that time Lil John and 40 were presenting at the VMAs. “And now introducing Lil John”. :russ:

Earl just standing there like :flabbynsick:

Lil John like “yeah um and this is E-40”

It’s not even West coast/East Coast bias thing for me... like Too Short, Mac Dre , Mob Figgaz, I think their dope and can recognize their talent. E40 is a pioneer and boss but his raps were corn on the cob.

That nothing he's had recently even comes close to that album. Not hard to comprehend:yeshrug:. I did some of E-40's stuff and know he's a legend, but people appreciate him more for his longevity than his actual music. He's had 27 albums and people on here are a damn lie or E-40 relatives if they've heard more than 6.

:what:

Federal
The Mail Man
In A Major Way
Hall of Game
The Element of Surprise
Charlie Hustle

^any real 40 water fan has heard all of his 90s material. If you listened to any of his 2000s material that’s more than 6 off top.
Loyalty & Betrayal is a solid album

Much better than anybody from Wu Tang, Cash Money, Drake, J Cole, Kendrick, Kabye West, Migos, Future, Jeezy, Rick Ross, Cam Ron, Julez Santana, Beanie Siegel, Sauce Money, Memphis Bleek...

I agree. And B-Legit has always been a beast. What an underrated combination, not nearly talked about enough.

“Hog muthafukka, filled with anger. 30 rd clip, one in the chamber.”

nikkas been on that gangsta shyt.

Been listening to them nikkas forreal since 93. Wish they’d stayed with their original sound with Sam Bostic and them but I’ve always stayed a fan anyway. We used to bang the shyt out them boys albums, and I still bump In A Major Way like it just came out. One of my top 10 albums.

What’s funny about that? A true to life legend overlooked for a caricature? What you were witnessing was the death of an era, and only a few of us knew it. And even fewer of us would believe it.

I can totally see why someone don’t like him.

I was the same way when I first heard him as a kid but once I got older I really started to listen to his music and I became a fan, listen to a Major Way album, great album. He’s lyrical and kicking game, he has a lot to say and that’s why he’s still around today.

His following is crazy strong in California.
