You can't do the same combos as melee, it's a different game. Players will figure out how to play it. And dash dancing is not at all balanced, it gives an unfair advantage to faster characters. I'm not gonna rate a game I haven't played myself but I honestly think some people will dislike anything that isn't melee based. Which is fine if that's their preference, but I'm excited to try the new game

Sm4sh doesn't have to be Melee-- but it can't be a campfest. Even if the physics, moves, and combos aren't exactly like Melee, it'll still be fire just so long as they do a decent job with the character balance and the game is combo-friendly and encourages offensive play (which Brawl really.... didn't.)

Dash-dancing was actually pretty important for eveyrone, since it gave people (even the heavy characters) options out of dashing, and you could bait out attacks with it. It's still in Project M, and the heavy characters are legit in that game regardless. I'm not saying that it HAS to be back-- I'm just saying that in order for the game to work as a competitive fighter, they're gonna have to add movement and combo options that encourage and reward offensive play.

I've come to accept SSB will never be a legitimate tourney-quality competitive fighter. Sakurai doesn't WANT it to be one. He and Nintendo want it to be a party game. It is what it is.

I'll still buy it, I'll still likely love it and play the shyt out of it like I did Brawl.
